About CHROMATICA

CHROMATICA is ACE’s education and arts initiative designed to cultivate creativity, collaboration, and growth mindset in young artists. Through workshops, festivals, and hands-on experiences, CHROMATICA connects students with leading professionals in music, art, and education—equipping them with tools to thrive both artistically and personally. It was birthed from the annual ACOBE (A Celebration of Black Excellence) Festival Mass Choir experience in Greensboro, North Carolina. Now, CHROMATICA takes several forms, including small vocal ensembles, mass choirs, instrumental ensembles with the intention or creating community access to musical community, interaction and performance. We create community when we are called to create!

What do we do?

  • Experiential Learning – Students engage in hands-on workshops that blend artistic practice with problem-solving, innovation, and teamwork.

  • Professional Mentorship – We bring in guest artists, educators, and industry leaders to guide and inspire students.

  • Performance Opportunities – Participants showcase their growth through community events, exhibitions, and festivals.

  • Growth Mindset Training – Every program emphasizes resilience, creativity, and the belief that talent grows with effort and learning.
